Great Analog Clock

I found this analog clock I like:

Analog Alarm Clock

I like the following things about it:

  • It's big enough for me to see it from across the room
  • It's local to my computer. The clockface changes to the next minute at the exact same moment my digital display in the lower-right corner does under Windows XP.
  • Because it is based on local computer time rather than network time, it should work even if my Internet connection is down.
  • I use it to time myself when doing exercises from the other side of the room.
  • I use it to set the current time on an old analog clock I own that runs on one AA battery. While I can easily use a digital clock to set an analog clock, I like setting my analog clock with an analog clock that has digital accuracy. For whatever reason, I find using an analog clock to set an analog clock more natural.

I'm grateful that someone bothered to make this clock.

I've not tested this clock extensively. However I assume it is based on local time bacause of what I see. To know for sure, I'd have to peak under the hood and look at the actual webpage code to confirm that this is true.

Whitetip Search Engine Optimization Service

I was looking for some information on Vistaprint. Here's the article I clicked on:

Transferring Your Domain From Vistaprint

So many websites fail to communicate clearly. This website is the exception. It is easy to understand on first reading. The first thing I noticed is they make a complex topic—transferring a domain name—simple.

On the home page they describe their search engine optimization service. Again, very clear:

Whitetip SEO

Sometimes website owners feel the need to impress others. Better to make things simple, easy and clear.

This website does that. It makes things clear.
